We perform the whole 26 asanas in 90 minutes and I recommend this to everyone! Before I started, I would say that I am the least flexible person in the world but when I began Bikram yoga -I was able to prove myself wrong! I am actually able to bend every single muscle or bone in my body because of the intense heat! I learned that our bones are most malleable when we are surrounded by intense heat. Just like steel to turn it into metal, right? The steel just totally bends when you expose it for a long time in fire - ask a blacksmith! So there, not to mention that Bikram yoga also stands for Fire Yoga or Hot yoga (=
For me, tennis and boxing are the sources of my wellness and restoration, while Yoga is for my rejuvenation as cheezy as I sound. For your information, I read the Bible as often as I can now and I actually keep a journal for my reflections from time to time. Yoga affected me this way. To feel great about myself, to make the most out of the prime of my youth and to realize that God is truly magnificent. It must be written on the stars that I'm one hell of a dreamer. And that I want to make people proud of me.
Hats off to you. Seriously? 90 minutes? My first (hopefully not the last) session I had earlier today lasted only 60 minutes, and, man, I tell you, I have never worked so hard in my life.
ReplyDeleteI have said this, and will say it again... I have new-found respect for yoga-oers.
but it feels great after, right??? The feeling of relaxation just surprises you in the end! =) i do bikram, so, it's really intense! how about you? =)
ReplyDeleteThere's regular Namaste and power Namaste being offered at my gym. I did power Namaste. I don't know how different they are.
ReplyDeleteActually, I wasn't planning on doing any of it. My schedule opened up one morning when I didn't have to work early. Curiosity creeped in and... voila!
